Like many global IT success stories, Sandstone was founded in a garage by two IT programming enthusiasts as a part time hobby.

21 years later their passion for programming and banking have resulted in Sandstone becoming one of the pre-eminent providers of origination and digital banking software solutions in the world. It is the reason why many of our customers have been with us for over 10 years. Unlike most large companies, Sandstone’s founding values and culture are as evident in 2017 as they were in 1996.

First deployment of Sandstone’s end to end consumer digital home loan acquisition solution.

The Warehouse Financial Services in New Zealand goes live with an online banking solution specific to their cards business.

2014

Deployed a Paym (the UK’s mobile payments service) enabled P2P mobile payments solution to Cumberland Building Society, a foundation Paym participant.

2012

First Australian Tier 1 bank implements an integrated PFM solution.
Launch of our digital lending solution for credit cards and personal loans.

2011

BOQ’s Sandstone developed solution wins Amber Award for Best Mobile Banking Solution.
Global launch of Sandstone’s mobile banking app at Finovate in Europe.

2009

BOQ’s Sandstone developed mobile banking solution wins Amber Award for Best Mobile Commerce Solution.
Sandstone’s loan origination solution deployed into an Australian Tier 1 Bank.

Violet Yu 

Violet’s main passion is programming. Violet co-founded Sandstone in 1996 by developing an internet banking system! She is a mother of two and is always planning her next overseas adventure.

Alice Fu

Alice has a finance background and now works as a UX designer at Sandstone. She loves travelling, eating good food and raising mischief – both in and outside of the office.

James Morrison

James Morrison

James started at Sandstone as a graduate programmer and now heads up one of our online banking teams. He loves golf, hockey and organising social get togethers for every occasion!

Peter Kowalik

Peter joined Sandstone many, many years ago and is now working in our Lending Team for our largest customer. Peter enjoys sailing, long distance running and martial arts.

Rochana joined sandstone as a junior java developer and is now a full stack developer working on major projects. She loves reading, travelling and watching movies.

Frank Connon

Frank joined Sandstone from IBM in 2004 to head up our VMS division. He’s from Ireland but has embraced all things aussie including his beloved Sydney Swans and the Maroubra surf.
