Senior Project Manager (software delivery)

The Role

We're currently on the lookout for a passionate and Agile certified Project Manager to join our dedicated team for one of our key clients, one of the Big Four Banks. Working across multiple complex and high profile software delivery projects, you'll be accountable for end to end project management, from scope, planning and resourcing, through to reporting, governance and delivery and will utitlise your knowledge of agile practices to achieve the best possible outcomes for our client. 

 

Key responsibilities

  • End to end project management throughout the software development lifecycle 
  • Management of project timelines and budgets 
  • Ensuring and driving quality deliverables to the end client at all time
  • Acting as a key interface to key stakeholders throughout project
  • Overseeing and liaising with the technical teams to ensure successful delivery of Sandstone's software in-line with client requirements and deadlines 
  • Ownership of all project reporting
  • Driving effective and proactive communication between the development team(s) and the relevant key project stakeholders
  • Proactively building trust with the client and influencing project critical decisions 
  • Managing direct reports or project teams and driving performance 
  • Preparing and executing work orders

 

About you

  • 5 years+ Project Management experience within an IT software development environment
  • SAFe/ Scrum certified 
  • Solid understanding of the software development life cycle using Agile methodologies
  • Practical/hands-on experience of delivering projects using agile/scrum framework
  • Proven project governance experience i.e. status reporting, issue and risk management, stakeholder management etc.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional project teams
  • The ability to manage relationships with multiple parties (clients, third party stakeholders) and a proven track record of implementing successful IT projects
  • Ability to articulate and mitigate risk
  • Knowledge of MS Project, Jira, Tempo and other scrum tools is advantageous 
  • Experience with software development within the Banking and/or Finance sectors is preferabl
  • Experience from a software vendor or client-facing environment will be highly regarded
