IMB, one of Australia's largest building societies, has launched a new mobile app. Available now in iOS and Android app stores, the new mobile app provides IMB's customers with a better solution to banking from their smartphone, whenever or wherever they choose.
Selecting Sandstone Technology to develop the new app, these upgrades are the latest step in IMB's digital journey, continually improving self-service banking options for its customers.
Sam Plowman, COO Sandstone Technology comments "IMB has long recognised the importance of digital to deliver a superior customer experience. The development of the new app provides a significant step forward in terms of functionality and the ability to continue development. IMB through both its online presence and branch network is at the fore of innovation and truly understands what their customers want from their banking experience."
"The new app was deployed and available in the app stores in less than three months. This speed to market is testament to the collaboration and the agile methodology employed by both the IMB and Sandstone teams."
The new IMB mobile app includes a host of features such as enhanced security, account customisation, ability to schedule future transactions as well as balance peek, allowing customers to check their account balances without having to log-in to the app.
IMB CEO Robert Ryan adds "at IMB we have a clear focus on delivering banking solutions that work for our members. Digital and mobile allow us to provide fast, convenient and secure banking solutions to support our other channels. We see the mobile app as a vital part of our business, supporting our members who prefer to transact online. Also, as we look to attract younger members, having the right mix of banking solutions is paramount."
Mr Ryan continues "the mobile app that we have deployed is the first in a series of planned upgrades and has been received well by IMB members with feedback to date being extremely positive."
