Iteration Manager



The Role

We're currently on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Iteration Manager to join our dedicated team for one of our key clients, one of the Big Four Banks. The main purpose of this role is to help improve delivery capability and implement/uplift agile practices within the team, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our client.  


Key responsibilities

  • Driving day to day team coordination and planning, assisting in the development, planning and delivery of a portfolio of work for the team

  • Driving concise quality reporting metrics  

  • Assessing and coaching the team in agile practices, taking responsibility for Agile processes and improvement within the team and across the portfolio  

  • Coaching the team on agile principles and practices to grow agile maturity and become resilient and high performing through coaching / mentoring and demonstration of thought leadership

  • Building strong, trusted relationships with the client and customer groups and within the team, by helping the team to make their work transparent, and managing change as issues arise  

  • Leading the team to achieve continuous delivery and to build quality in supported platforms/systems

  • Supporting the team to communicate technical and quality priorities to the product owners to ensure sufficient investment in the delivery capability


About you

  • 5+ years’ appropriate industry experience ideally working within a large organisation (Finance, Banking or Fintech highly regarded)

  • Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology and/or Business or equivalent industry experience (desirable)  

  • At least 2+ years’ experience in a Scrum Master / Iteration Manager role  

  • Understanding of Agile behaviours, tools and techniques: e.g. collaboration, work breakdown, automated testing, Scrum, Kanban etc (mandatory)  

  • Certified Scrum Master/Iteration Manager and have proven experience in implementing and uplifting agile practices within delivery teams
